Celebration on the Lake Church to host afternoon party for all lake residents

Celebration on the Lake Church, which is Cedar Creek Lake's LGBTQ church, will be hosting a party for the entire lake community Saturday, March 28, from noon until 6 p.m.

"Weather permitting, it will be outdoors with bands, lots of food, lawn chairs and lots of friendliness on our part," COTL Pastor Kathy Bowser said. "We will be hosting, welcoming and entertaining our whole lakeside community."

Bowser said the congregation hopes everyone will leave with a "warm feeling about Celebration on the Lake Church and a desire to return on future Sundays, particularly on Easter and possibly become members if they feel included and cared for by us."

The pastor called the church's party a "big attempt to go outside the walls of the church as we love to extend our hands in friendship."

Bowser said the party would be held inside the church if it rains on Saturday. People planning on staying all afternoon should bring a lawn chair.
