Dog of the Week: Domino

Our Cedar Creek Lake dog of the week is Domino.

Domino was rescued when a staff member, Ronnie, asked Juana if StrayDog could take him from a family who wanted to surrender him because of his disabilities.  He is deaf and partially blind in one eye.  Deafness is common in this breed.  The family could only find kill shelters to take him and they all told them they would put him down because of his disabilities.  After his initial vet check-up he was found to be heartworm positive and has started his treatment for that making him unavailable for adoption at this time.

You can follow Domino’s healing and the life of many special rescues available for adoption at www.straydog.org.
